Formating an Excelcell with LibXL without writing in it
Has anyone found out how to formate an Excel cell without writing a value in it?
I want to create a column where suppliers shall enter their prices. The column shall be empty from the beginning, but the cells should be currency formatted so two decimals show up when sombody enter a price.
Send WriteNum of hoSheet iRow iCol '' hoAmountFormat - gives zeros in the cells.
Set DefaultColumnFormat of hoLagerSheet iRow iCol to hoMoneyFormat - doesn't seem to have any exffect
There ought at least to be a way to delete the value in a cell. When working normally with Excel, you just press Delete.

Bengt,
Please create a HDE ticket and possibly with code that we can run to see the problem, discuss with the developer.

It is the szLibXL implementation I use so I hoped Mike or somebody who works with his classes would know.

have you tried to contact XLware via email or their forum
and just an idea
have you tried writing the amount with format and then overwrite the value with an empty string? maybe it will keep the format

haven't tried it, but there is a WriteBlank method (ComWriteBlank) - check out the LibXL doc
