Grid Help
As watermarks were actually listed in the 'whats new' when the new grids were first announced, I was surprised how hard it was to find how to use them. Could the basics be added to the help property list?
Set psWatermark to "pricemaintenance.png"
Set piWatermarkTransparency to 20
Set peWatermarkAlignment to (xtpReportWatermarkCenter + xtpReportWatermarkStretch)

Re: Grid Help
Hay Dave - Sounds interesting (the watermarks), could you post a small picture of what you are doing with it?
Thanks

Re: Grid Help
Hi Dave,
the help states to use SetWatermark instead of psWatermark, which is private.
So how can I improve the "findability" of this, add a line or two about watermarks to the main cCJGrid class page? Where did you expect to find it?

Re: Grid Help
Yes that would do it. But I didn't find 'setwatermark' either, when I was looking over the weekend ... only references to watermarks at all were relative to the underlying codejock

Re: Grid Help
the attached is using the watermark to distinguish between several programs that all look pretty much alike but have different purposes and privileges. This one has transparency set at 40, I'll experiment with that as I don't want the watermark to distract users when the grid is filled.

Re: Grid Help
Thanks, very educational. I wonder if we can use this concept for "did you know" or help.

Re: Grid Help
The one thing I wasn't able to do was switch it on and off. Still playing with that. Ideally the watermark would be strong when the grid was empty and weaker (or absent) when populated.

Re: Grid Help
Try typing "watermark" into the search tab.

Re: Grid Help
Thanks Dave - ya, very intereesting. Glad to know we have the capability to do that. I think I can find some places to put that to use.
Thanks

Re: Grid Help
? now I'm confused. It's clearly there on my PC, but I couldn't find it over the weekend.
Thinks - then I was using Wempy's PC and checking again, the STudio doesn't find any references to 'watermark' on that one.
He's running the same VDF and Studio versions so I opened his help folder and just ran the class ref chm and it's correct. So I presume the help index is toasted? Looks like his chw is 878 vs my 873
How do I rebuild that?
