Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Mike,
I installed DF v18.0.
Do I need to do the Web Framework Changes as in the migrating workspaces instructions? See below.
[h=3]Web Framework Changes[/h]Existing DataFlex 17.1 Web Framework applications that manually fill lists or grids using tWebRow structure (aValues array) will need to be updated as the definition of the tWebRow struct has changed from...
Struct tWebRow
String[] aValues
End_Struct
to...
Struct tWebCell
String sValue
String sTooltip
String[] aOptions
End_Struct
Struct tWebRow
String sRowID
String sCssClassName
tWebCell[] aCells
End_Struct
Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Jim
I am preparing an 18.0 specific version (I will probably stop maintaining the 17.1 version when 18.0 is released, or maybe even in beta). There are more issues than meet the eye (on top of those ~300 compiler errors due to the change in tWebRow).
I should have something together this week I hope, which will include using the new "Wait" dialog when running reports.

Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
I applied all the changes in the struct array as per the DF instructions. The VDFWebQuery works fine. It took a while to change all the array elements (must be close to 150).
Files changed: cWebQueryFunctions.pkg, wqAddHocIndex.wo, and wqExpressionPopup.wo, wqSelectionList.wo, wqSelectionOperators.wo, WebQuery.wo, and wqTableSelection.wo
Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Jim - as I said, there are other things that don't work - it took a while testing for me to find them.
For instance, I use an undocumented call-back from displayed (as opposed to downloaded) HTML reports (a bit of embedded JavaScript) which tells the web app to delete the generated file once it has been loaded in the browser - that is broken due to changes in the web service JSON API, so the report files no longer get deleted and will sit there open to anyone who can access the web server without even login protection. I have fixed that in my new version, but Harm disapproves of the technique (which I was rather pleased with), so I am looking into changing it.
Actually I think that is all, but I am still messing around with it and testing.
Sounds like you are looking at the code a fair bit - I just hope you don't find anything too embarrassing in there!

No. I like what I see. ;)
Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Nice of you to say so. :)
Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Mike,
Are you still working on the changes for DF v18.0?
Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
Jim
I have been working on other stuff and not got around to releasing this - I will try to get to it soon. Sorry!
(It is done, but needs testing... and more importantly, needs me to get my head back into it for a day or so - that's what has mostly been missing.)

Re: WebQuery Beta 2 Released
I quite understand. Thanks.
