Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
So sad to hear this news. Tony was a great guy. I knew him over all those years at DISD. Condolences and prayers to his family.
Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
So sorry to hear this. My condolences to friends and family.
Only had the privilege a few times to meeting him, chat and afterwards email with Tony.
He generously shared some of his work with the rest of the community via the vdf-guidance website.

It was a pleasure working with him on getting those projects published.
Wish a lot of strength to his family for the loss they have to endure.

Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
My condolences Dan. Mari (Doherty) and I talked about missing both of you at DISD only weeks ago.
Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
I didn't know Tony well - only having met him a couple of times @ DISD. He gave great presentations & was always very personable. As Wil mentioned, he also contributed to the whole DF community & that's a wonderful thing.
All my best to his family & friends.
Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
That is very sad news indeed. I worked with Tony while at Anasazi and he was always knowledgeable, gracious and helpful. Oh, and as you say, always humorous. I'd kind of lost contact in recent years but have many good memories. Thanks for posting, Dan

Dan - Thanks for sharing this. Very sorry and saddened to hear this. I knew Tony for probably 23 to 25 years! What an awesome guy and great DataFlexer.

Re: In Memory: Tony Mackay
Such sad news. Like many in the DataFlex community, I didn't know Tony much outside of DISD, MMiSL and Synergy interactions and technical exchanges via e-mail and in the newsgroups and forums. I have found that knowing someone over many (many) years, even just remaining near the surface, creates it's own special bonds. I always looked forward to seeing Tony at one of the various conferences. I was even happier on those occasions where he was on the agenda. And I always scanned the bar, er, restaurant, to see if there was room for me to intrude at whatever table he was holding court. We were all so very lucky to have him in our lives, even for only moments.
I wish peace for Karen, his girls and the rest of of his family and close friends. Even though his time was far too short, you were blessed to have so much of him.
