I'm testing deletion of a parent record where related child records exist.
The DD correctly prevents the delete every time.

However, the resulting “Cannot delete - related records exist” error is not consistently displayed.

Sometimes the error is displayed using the Windows error dialog.
When this happens I've traced execution into cWindowsErrorHandler and ultimately to its Message_Box.
At other times, performing the same delete on the same record still correctly prevents the deletion,
but no error is displayed at all, and my breakpoint in the Windows error handler is not reached.

I haven't yet found a reliable way to reproduce which behaviour occurs so this is a test to see if anyone else has seen this?

Is there anything specific about FlexTron error handling that would explain why the same DD error can apparently take different paths?

PS I just saw this post not quite the same but similar

Documentation for using 3rd-party JS/CSS libraries (replacement for index.html)

Hi,

I'm coming from WebApp development, where adding a third-party library is easy: drop the files in AppHtml and add the /
tags to index.html.
In a FlexTron project I couldn't find the equivalent, and it took me a while to work out how it's meant to be done.

What I eventually found:

- FlexTron projects still use an AppHtml folder (added via Tools > Add JavaScript Engine), and it has to be deployed with the app.
- Custom JS/CSS should not be added to Index.html. Instead, cLocalWebControlHost has an OnDefineScriptIncludes event where you push and
tags into the String[] array, with paths relative to AppHtml.
- In DataFlex 2026, the Package Manager also seems to manage includes through a FlexTronScriptIncludes.html file in AppSrc.

My questions:

1. Is OnDefineScriptIncludes the recommended approach for third-party libraries in FlexTron, and does it work the same way with cLocalWebAppHost?
2. In 2026 projects, should custom includes go in FlexTronScriptIncludes.html, in OnDefineScriptIncludes, or either? Is there an ordering rule between the two?
3. Does inline or in the injected HTML work, or only external files?
4. How are relative paths for assets a library loads at runtime (fonts, images) resolved in FlexTron?

The main FlexTron page in the documentation mentions the event in one sentence, and the Learning Center FlexTron lessons I found cover stock web controls only. A short documentation topic or video on "adding your own JavaScript/CSS libraries to a FlexTron app" would help a lot of developers moving from WebApps.

Thanks!
