OK ;-)

Should that ever happen again, just click the "New search" button again.

I just had this happen several times.
No amount of retries appears to resolve it.
Tried closing FF and coming back, still no-go. :(

Thanks Lars. That's what I thought but it wasn't working. It must be
down for some reason this morning. I will try again later.

Hi Greg,

WASP has been running for the last 390 hours 15 minutes and 52 seconds since
last restart.

Hmmm... I have tried from two different computers and get no response.
I will try tonight from home.

Thanks
Greg

Ok Greg and Stephen,

I have now booted the server. Did that help?

Still no joy. But since others can get in, it doesn't sound like it's
your server.

Hi Greg,

I'm not so sure but I don't know that the heck is wrong.

Just so the you all know, here are the facts:

John Sutton and Mark Rutherford had problems 2 weeks ago.

Just before 1800 today local time (just after I told Greg that it's been
running for weeks) I experienced some problems with WASP for the first time.

In the hour before that at least 10 users succeeded in searching WASP

I booted the server at 1800 and noticed that some "automatic updates" from
MS had gotten stuck. It fixed itself.

The Win2000 eventlog is absolutely empty (not even information from the
reboot). This is strange

The WebApp eventlog for WASP is empty. Two other application running on the
server do have events.

All three applications have identical settings: PP, reload 24 hours, log all
access, max=0

Just so you know, I can't access it either. IE just says " Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage" after a pretty long period of time.

Now I can't get in either. An hour ago it was ok.

I have now booted the server a few times more, reindexed the tables and -
and this is what might make a difference - I have deleted the event log file
for WASP. after I did that the WebApp administrator is now able to stop and
start the WebApp service and events are now logged as expected.

I cross my fingers.

Works here.

Usually I start to go batty if I don't get my wasp fix <grin>
Without wasp poor dataflex programmers would lose hair at a faster rate :)

Sad isn't it,, that we consider 390 hours good uptime for a windows
server. If that were Netware we'd expect 390 days.
