I just checked and the head count for DISD is approaching 80 valiant
souls (30+ of which will also be in Vincent's excellent training course
on Structs and Arrays)!

My all-seeing-all-knowing-source tells me that's the biggest turnout by
far since Meet Me in St. Louis started and some developers started going
to it exclusively. Even so, I think the highest attendance in recent
years was 86 (in 2002) so with a few more folks this could be the best
turnout of the Millennium!

If you want to see who will be there, just hit the DISD site
www.disdconference.com. You can check out the agenda and see who else is
going to be there.

Are you on the list?

If not, you really (really) want to be...

Best regards and see you there,

-SWM-

In addition to John, Vincent and myself, the Project Horizon development
team will be well represented by Sonny and Slobodan.

I agree whole heartedly. The friendships struck at conferences have
paid tremindous dividends over and over again, and I don't just mean
the free drinks..... If you are a solo developer or part of a small
company, you owe it to yourself to get to these events and meet the
people that can help you the most. It's a VERY informal setting, and
quite often you may find yourself amoung 4 or 5 of the shakers and
movers in the VDF community. What better time to get your qusetions
answered, concerns aired, curioisity piqued and engines rev'd up.

Just by sitting in on conversations you can benefit tremendously in
that things you have never thought of are brought up and broken down.
Then, when you get back to work, you know who to send a message to to
get the information, code slice, package or code sample that you need.
And we are probably all guilty of not responding as much as we could,
but if it's someone you know, then you are more apt to feel at home
repsonding and sharing. Best regards to all and I'll see you in the
lounge on Wednesday night late. Tony MacKay and I get into Reno at
9:30pm, will hit the Pinon as soon as practical. Our flight
information is being posted on DISD website on who's coming, if you
need a ride in that time frame, we'd be happy to have you join us.
