Chuck (or anyone else who cares to comment),

I checked with the Viking Holiday Inn and it seems that they are totally
booked for Friday night (looks like some hockey team has the run of the
place), so that kind of takes them out of the running. I stayed there
the past two years and really liked it.

Does this mean that most folks are gravitating toward the, glup <g>,
Best Western or are other locations coming into play. In trying to get
somewhere between the Eden Seminary and the airport, it seems like the
best location is the Marriott Residence Inn (it's just off of 170 -
north of 64, which is the way you'd head to the airport from the Eden
Seminary). It's a bit pricier than the Viking would have been, but more
of a known quantity than the Best Western.

The Holiday Inn Forest Park is another option I looked at (and a little
less than the Marriott), but it's a little further east and not as close
to the airport.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Best regards,

-SWM-

Hi all,

MMISL will be held on October 14th and 15th in St. Louis. The
registration fee this year is $160, which will include two lunches and a
real "bang-up"
dinner on Friday night. The event this year will be held in the
basement of the Luhr Library on the campus of Eden Seminary. See
www.eden.edu for directions. I think that this will be a nice location
this year - the campus is very nice, the meeting room is good (two
screens and built in overhead projectors, etc.) and we will have our own
building for our lunches. A nice change.

I recommend that you start getting your reservations in for this event
and your hotel accomodations. Viking Holiday Inn and Kirkwood Inn are
my two suggestions.

and http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/stlsw?irs=null Since
our facility is 5 or 6 miles from those hotels and dinner is about the
same distance in the opposite direction, I would suggest making sure
that you have transportation set up. http://www.surfandsirloin.com for
the website for our Friday night dinner. Excellent food!!!!!

Send payment made out to "Applied Information Management" in the amount
of $160.00 to Mari Doherty. $45 each additional if others will attend
the Friday night dinner with you.

Stephen,

It's pretty easy to get to Eden from the area where we have stayed before
(near the Viking) and it's halfway between Eden and the place for dinner
Friday night. Anyway, the Kirkwood Inn has received good reviews before.
There is also a Hampton Inn right across the street from the Viking, and out
I44 (West) a few more miles is a Drury Inn. Drury's are pretty nice. It's
right across from the Chrysler plant on I44 and only about 3 miles further
west than the Viking.
