View Full Version : Suggestion for dbBuilder - relationship table lists

In dbBuilder (I'm using 20.1) - when defining a relationship between two tables, both the child and parent table lists only show table names. However, they are listed in file number order.

Especially for a big filelist, it can be a challenge to find the desired parent file. My suggestion would be (a) list the tables alphabetically, or (b) preface each row with filenumber and then the table name.

I'm guessing this is a comboform issue.

All the best,
Nick

Nick,

Have you tried the interface in the Studio? For most operations, Database Builder is replaced by the newer capabilities for table management in the Studio.

for the most part the Studio variations on Table Management are okay. They don't really improve on the DBBldr though, and of course the features missing are important ones. I don't see DBB ever going away.

Especially if you need it to make a change at a customer who does not have a studio license.
