Ha! Man changing the natural world - what could possibly go wrong?

I particularly don't get the hydro power concept. If you have 2 channels/tunnels from the Pacific Ocean, wouldn't any flow be purely tidal? That'd mean water would flow in & out each one fairly equally - assuming it could travel that distance in time.

Anyway - we have plenty of coyotes around here - so they won't go away soon, as they are adapting to living closer to people; house cats make a tasty dinner to them.
