may I ask you all to consider The Northeast DataFlex Users Group
www.nedataflex.com as a backup for your practice?

We are just forming and have 8 dataflex programmers in the group with
expertise in many facets of VDF and otherwise.

When a one man band recommends another firm as a backup they could be well
served to be directed to a website where all of the dataflex programmers are
"in sync" and each has a portfolio coordinated about the customer and is
able to respond.

This is becoming a reality with the Northeast DataFlex Users Group
www.nedataflex.com and I would invite any developer who seeks a backup to
their practice contact us for a contractual arrangement that would preserve
their customer from being stolen but given a "hit list" of 8+ contract
programmers who they could choose a contact phone or email number directly
from a central website.

This would look impressive to the customer, and a 2 hour fee at regular
rates billable to the customer to become familiar with the customer account
in general and to open a line of communication for backup purposes will be
our standard practice.

I invite anyone with this concern to contact a member of the Northeast
DataFlex Users Group or myself directly for more information.

This is a niche market and we hope to do this right with synchronized
customer data and communication.

Sincerely,
Peter Donovan

Peter,

Shouldn't your website be hosted on Electos?

Hi Michael,
It should be hosted on Electos and have a WebApp component too. We're only
a month and a half old so please bear with us:
We're getting there slowly but surely. You are right.

Peter

And, if you don't host the site yourself, how many ISP's play well with
VDF????
