ok, I thought I wrote it once already, but I can't find it.

On my W8 64bit machine the webapp checker says I haven't switched on 32-bit support but I have and it works.

Sture,

Perhaps W8.1 and not W8.0?

Hi Vincent

WinVer says "Windows 8, Microsoft Windows 6.2 (Build 9200)"

... which means 8.0

What language is your OS?
Did you change the DefaultAppPool name or use a different application pool?
Did you set 32-bit in the DefaultAppPool via advanced settings or did you set it via the "Set application pool defaults" level (default configuration for all application pools)

Not to my knowledge. My WebOrder_18 site 'Advanced settings' says DefaultAppPool and that pool is indeed defined.

I believe I set it via advanced settings (a long time ago) but no matter what entry I check now it claims that "32 bit programs" are active (true).

DataFlexWebAppCheck.exe still report a red dot next to "Enable 32 bit Applications", and the machine still works :-)
