It has been a month since the last beta.

Are we close to another or a RC?

You're wasting your breath. And Electrons. They NEVER let that cat out of the bag early. It's a lot like Duke Nukem 3D. It'll ship when it's good and ready. And they won't tell us about it a minute before.

It's good, because the software they do ship, is better. It's bad because it's bloody hard to tell a customer, yeah, weve done 95% of the developement of your next version in 17.0, using lots of the cool new features, so we can't back port it to 16.1, and we have absolutely no reasonable idea when it will be released. But we should get more news before the beta expires on June 30....

You did that just to prove me wrong, didn't you!

:-)

Honest, I'm not knocking you, I'm just getting beaten up by a client, so I felt the need to share the wealth...

It's a lot like Duke Nukem 3D.

I hope not!
It took 13 years to finish Duke Nukem Forever. ;)
(And it still was disappointing)

If the technology stopped changing nobody would buy anything any more.

Ya, thank God for FMAC! I also started in 2.0e, not sure I would of been as excited about DataFlex in versions prior to 2.0e.
