After we've finished the themes for the seminars, we are now in progress with the agenda for the EDUC 2010.

Look here:
http://www.educ2010.com/normal.asp?pageid=153 (English)
http://www.educ2010.com/normal.asp?pageid=154 (German)

We've put together a whole series of very interesting topics and think that added even more.

Take a look now!

We rented 2 conference rooms: We will try to offer many topics in parallel / deferred basis to bring in German language.

Time willing....

I am hoping to demonstrate how Autocomplete has been integrated into the studio along with the help. I am curious if anyone is interested in me spending a little time showing how Autocomplete works? (not to be confused with code-complete)

Any suggestions as to what travelers should do for money?

- use Travelers Checks
- Exchange for local currency

Does Austria use the Euro?

According to travel pete they do :D

Also the invoice we have just paid was in Euros

I personally would take a small amount of cash and a credit card

Austria has the €. With European debit cards you can take money "out of the wall" at a bank. AFAIK you can use you credit card too. Otherwise they will serve you inside. Taking money in Austria is very well organised, because the skiing tourists have to spend money :). Anyway, a credit card is enough. If you fly to Munich (in stead of Innsbruck) you can use the Euro there, too.

I haven't been to Austria in a while, but in Germany and Italy the ability to use my US credit card increases every year. I would still bring some Euro cash, particularly have some coins available for vending machines, everything from ticketing machines to food usually takes coins more so than bills.

Take 2 credit cards (e.g. Visa and Master Card) as some places only take one or the other. You will get the best exchange rate if your purchases are made with a credit card (exchange rate is based upon date the interchange between banks is made). You will need some cash for small purchases (typically under $30). Use the credit card at a bank ATM to get cash (you will need you PIN for that). Make sure you have the phone # for each card in case you have to call to protect a lost card.

Don't carry a lot of cash. Don't carry a wallet. I have always used a hidden passport holder and keep my cards in with my passport. You can keep small amounts of cash in your pants pocket.

I never bring jewelry (except wedding band), and I wear a cheap watch. I don't want to advertise I have a lot of money. Which I don't :(.
