View Full Version : Background transparance for cImageContainer

Hi,

Setting the background transparency for a cImageContainer object works great. But when changing skin in a running program the background transparency is lost.

Is there a special message to send to update the control? I think I've asked this before and the message then was that this was already fixed for version 2.0

What am I missing?

[Edit] Forgot to say that I've tried sending RedrawImage and RedisplayImage but it didn't help.

Nils,

Would suggest you not to change the skin dynamically in your programs.

Why would that be ?
How else can a user see what a particular skin looks like?

DAW even has provided a sample ws that does exactly that!!

Vincent,

I must say that I strongly disagree with you. In fact I would even like to say that that is the whole point when using skins - to let the user decides what's best for him!

There's no way you ever is going to select the best skin for all of your customer - and their differing OS's. If the user can't select the skin of his liking its probably better to leave the skins alone all together!

Now, you said in another thread that this was fixed, which it obviously isn't. That's fine, but do you know if there is a message that could be used to be broadcasted send to those objects?

TIA.
