Download link appears broken. I registered for Alpha1 and received the email, but the included link (to download.dataaccess.eu/blah blah blah) gives HTTP Error 404. Tried with both IE7 and Google's Chrome.

I had trouble the first time, but Vincent sent me a new link after I replied back to the email.
I'd post it here, but I know they want folks to go through the registration process rather than just go from here.

Vincent has added escape characters in the link so it now works well for those of us using GMail. Thanks, Vincent.

I have to say "we hope" because there might be mail systems out that don't like the %20's in the link... I was thinking of getting rid of the spaces completely and might do that for AlphaII to just make sure it is accepted by all those "funky" systems.
BTW; Google replaced the spaces by + symbols and that did not work out good in the link (of course).

Boy, it's a good thing that in 2009 there are no compatibility issues in the computing world anymore! :p
What's more amazing (sad) is that compatibility problems are still being created on a daily basis by people desiging new things (software, hardware, you name it). :(

Job security... Temporarily at least.
However, in another arena:
I just got a barcode wand to test stuff for a customer. Remember the old days of setting serial port baud rate, parity, etc, etc? (OK - Dennis, you're too young, but others will ;)).
I plugged the wand into a USB port on my Vista laptop. 10 sec. later, I got a "Your Human Interface Device is ready to use" msg. Opened my app, put the focus on an ASCII field & scanned. Perfect.
No setup, no work on my part - truly plug & "play". Now that is progress!

Basiccally works - but with the rather limited character set of the US
This person: Kåre-Bjørn Kongsnes becomes something not readable, in html the name is:
Kåre-Bjørn Kongsnes.
is the product intended outside the US?

Ole,
It is surely intended to be used outside the USA. Could you please report this bug via support@dataaccess.eu and if possible with screenshots, table information (embedded or ODBC), the used collating sequence file information etc. so that it can be reproduced and fixed?
