Noticing the 'locations' on people's sigs, with Dennis allegedly in TX and Stephen in VA, is there anyone left in Miami?

Hi Dave,

The bulk of the technical staff is "geographically diverse" (and has been for many years). The longest term non-Miami-an (or is that non-Miami-ite?) is the Guru his-self, Mr. Tuohy, who has never been based in Miami. The award for MDRB (Most Diverse on a Regular Basis) is John van Houten, who over the years has been in New Zealand, Miami, Italy, Prague, New Zealand, Prague, New Zealand, Prague, er, I think you get the picture...

Add to that that a very large part of the technical talent behind DAW (Connectivity Kits, Crystal Reports for DataFlex, Electos, AJAX, various parts of Visual DataFlex, etc.) has been located in the Netherlands (also for many, many years) and one would say that the technical part of DAW has been highly "virtual" a very long time. Ain't the Internet grand?

It only gets really tricky when we need to pick a single meeting time that's good from New Zealand to Hengelo :o

Well, most Texans will deny that Austin is part of Texas, but geographically, it is...:p
