Paul,

Can you try load balancing one of the standard Web Application Server
samples on your configuration? I'm wondering if the problem you are
running into may be more related to your use of Open Electos than the
Web Application Server.

Best regards,

I have just finished my second attempt at setting up a 'secure'
Enterprise WebApp configuration.

I installed the Enterprise server on the DMZ machine... it tests and
runs 'local' webapps beautifully.

I installed the 'slave' on an 'internal' behind the firewall server and
it too tests and runs 'local' apps beautifully

Now comes that hard part.... I have made several attempts at setting up
slave/master apps each failing.

In a nutshell, I installed the WebApp on the Master as '... is load
balanced over the following machines' and pointing it to the IP Address
behind the firewall. I left the default port of 8000 and weight of 1
alone. The same webapp was installed on the Slave machine as being '...
controlled by a load balancing master node.' When I attempt to access
the application from the master I receive the 'The page cannot be
displayed' error. Interestingly enough, when I access through the slave
server, leaving everything as I set it up, the app works.

The event log on the Master lists an error: "Session failed to
initialize:
An error occurred during child process initialization
\\Mc\Datamode\Downloads\Open Electros\oeLectos10\programs\webapp.exe"

Is there anything special I have to do to get this thing to work from
the master side? Have I missed something obvious?

DUH! Stephen, You've got it correct in one...

Thanks for the (oh so obvious now) idea.

Best regards

Paul
