Are there any plans to make a grid class in WebApp similar (or better) the
one that Marco Kuipers once released.
I think this would be a big improvement!

Expect to see a pretty spectacular grid imitation in the order entry web
sample of one of the next VDF 11 test versions (not the current).

This one is pretty cool.

It can be sorted and it seems pretty quick.
Donīt know if itīs what you look for.

Hi Niklas,
not exactly, what I need is not only a disply grid, but like in VDF a data
entry grid.

How is this going? I've started getting back into some of the web
stuff and don't want to re-invent the wheel... again. I had Marco's
grid entry working in the past and have some design ideas using my
virtual file stuff to buffer a set to do the i/o for all the lines as
a single transaction.

I have just learned today that the thing I was referring to is not making it
into the product (at least not now). The "thing" is a sample devised by DAE
that uses WS and JavaScript to do some very clever dynamic updating of HTML
forms (including a grid that behaves like a data entry table). I'd like to
build this technology into my web classes when I'm ready.
Perhaps we can get hold of it at the Synergy conference.

Sture,
Do you know of a way to go back to the server without opening a child
window? I've done this in the past to check an entry (autofind)
and/or launch a lookup, returning the info and updating the changed
fields using JS. I want to do the same for my list/grid access
because I don't want to send the entire page back and forth as with
Marco's class.

Larry,
I know there are ways. And with the same motivation as yours, I am planning
to explore at Synergy.

Wish I could get there.
