My vdf 11.1 install is trashed.
I attempted to revert back to a working setup by uninstalling it but...
im still getting an error now that I cant seem to shake.
when I try to fire up the studio I get a 'w3btrv7.dll' is missing error
followed by windows terminating the application and wanting to send an
error report, ect ect.

I tried to reinstall vdf11.1 but no dice. I am dead in the water now.
Dont think I want to try this anymore....

How can I get this working WITHOUT doing more damage than has already
been done?

other VDF installs appear to be unharmed.

Mark,

It looks like the last used workspace used PSQL as database and you did
uninstall PSQL. In that case the easiest solution is to start database
builder, change the workspace to a good one and start Studio again. Now
remove the the malfunctioning workspace from the registered workspaces
using the workspace manager tool. This way you cannot select this
workspace anymore until you've fixed the database problems and re
registered the workspace.

To me, it seems like you don't have the Pervasive client installed (the
"w3btrv7.dll" is part of the Pervasive client). I think you can also avoid
this problem by removing the "4096=DFBTRDRV" line in your DFINI.CFG file (in
....\VDF11\USR dir).

[wil] Just for your information.
That's the manual method to do it.
Since VDF11.0 there's a nice UI to do the same thing from within DAW's
database builder. Tools Menu->Configure drivers
Uncheck the load on startup checkbox before the Pervasive SQL driver.

Ah, did not know that.
However, if I recall right the builder would not run either.
I would have to try it again to see, but I dont think it ran.
I think the only thing that ran of all the DAW utilities, ect was the
compiler and the webapp administrator.

I could be wrong but I know the studio and dbexplorer for sure did not run.
