I am planning on doing a test conversion of a P.SQL version 7 database under
CK1.3 to EnterpriseDB (Postgre) using Mertech's driver.

Is it a one step or a two step process?

Do I have to first use dbBuilder to Database -> Converted to Embedded
and then use Flex2SQL to converted from Embedded to EnterpriseDB
(two steps)

OR

Is there a magically way of converting from P.SQL to EnterpriseDB in one
step.

Thanks

Archie

Archie,

As far as the Data Access CK's are concerned you can convert from any one to
any other one. Of course the table definition must be legal in your target
platform. I expect the Mertech drivers have the same capability, you should
contact them to make sure.

Thanks Ben
Yes there is.
I just needed reassurance from them to overcome a problem I had.
The direct one step method is much quicker.
