I'm guessing Sture is the one who knows....

Hi Sture -

Does Wasp search the Archived NG's?

Thanks,

Garret

Hi there,

All messages are still in WASP but the messages from before January 19th are
in their original newgroups. This means that they are still fully
searchable. One problem is that they will not be included when searching a
particular newsgroup (under advanced).

Another problem is that clicking the "List groups" link will list
non-existing newgroups.

Advantages are that messages have their original timestamp and that I
(hopefully) don't have to do anything each year when DAW decides to move a
batch of messages to the archieved area.

BTW, the groups now have 130.603 messages in 29.752 threads. 151.215
different words have been used and 16.157.613 words have been written in
total.

If your Outlook has all the messages you can check my numbers ;-)

Thank you Sture!

I like the thinking - except the part about having outlook check your
numbers. It was made by the company that decided that 0.5 should round to
zero...<g>

Once again - we're all indebted to you for this great tool (and others)!
