View Full Version : Option - don't remember all components/files from last session in the Studio

Hi!

The new feature in VDF10.1 "Have Studio remember and reopen all
components/files from last session in use" is nice sometimes. But most of
the times when I open my studio I don't want to continue with the open files
from my last session. Now it takes a few seconds extra to open the files and
then I have to close all the open files.

I would be happy to get an option where I could turn off the new feature.

Hmmmm,
I agree, but more than that....

If I open the studio by doubleclicking on a .src file, and a .src
happens to be in teh previous set of open files I'd like the new .src
to override the last one.

I'm happy. When working on a project I like the way it brings me back
to where I was.

[WvA] I agree with Andreas, it may be a nice feature at times, but imho
it is a nuisance most of the times. Especially for those who are not
using the Studio as their main editor.
Why is it that DAW always decides what we like and don't give us new
features in a way that we can decide ourselves if we like them or not?

It is nice for small projects, but when it has to open bigger files it is
taking to long to open.

Well this was frequently requested. Think we should refine it a bit. It is
nice to open a file on the same spot you were last time. That is offcourse
if possible, because if you changed the file in an other editor it does not
always work.
But that can also work when you re-open any file and the studio remembers
where it was last time when the file was closed. Maybe something for the
hammer ;-)
