View Full Version : Problems with DF31D/SQL

I am running a DF31d application with a SQL Server 2000 database.
I used Database Builder 10.1.7.0 to convert a DF 3.1d application to SQL
Server 2000.
When I run the program, I can see data in the pick lists etc, however when I
select a record from a pick list and press return, the DF31d application
just stops and returns to the command prompt - there is no crash or error
message generated. I am using DFRUNCON to launch the application.
The same FLXs work fine with a Dataflex database backend, and only crash
when attached to the SQL database.
Any idea why this might happen, and how to try to overcome this please?

Ravi.

What connectivity kit (and what version) are you using?

Ravi -
Just a thought. Have you any experience with this application running
not in the same box as the MS SQL Server database? I know you had lots
of memory in the PC, but what experience I have of this area has made me
very suspicious of running MS SQL in the same box as an application.
