Hello,

I'm sorry that you took my response to be some sort of brush off, it
certainly wasn't intended that way. I should have supplied more of the
why than just the what, so here goes...

Because FlexODBC is not a "mainstream" Data Access Worldwide product, it
is very rare that posting a NG message is the fastest way to receive
help. By mainstream, I mean that is it not a product that we design,
manufacture, sell or support through Data Access Worldwide. I understand
that this is a bit confusing because Data Access Asia Pacific is, in
addition to being our business partner for that region, the main sales
and marketing business partner for FlexQuarters (the maker of the
product). In any case, because FlexODBC is not directly supported by
Data Access Worldwide, we don't have any direct knowledge to try to
solve your problem, and not many developers discuss FlexODBC issues in
these newsgroups. I didn't want you to wait unnecessarily for an answer
that might not be forthcoming.

Again, I apologize for not being more clear and complete in the
information I provided originally. I hope that you get the assistance
you need.

Best regards,

-SWM-

Gosh what a great answer to my first post to the group. And I thought
it would have been a pretty easy question with a pretty straightforward
and helpful answer.

I purchased the driver from DataAccess Wordwide.

On their site it says. "Data Access Worldwide is the trade name under
which Data Access Corporation and its international subsidiaries
operate. "

It also says. "Customers in today's smaller world want a closer
relationship with their suppliers. Data Access strives to find new ways
to better serve customer needs and capitalize on emerging
opportunities," said Charles Casanave, CEO of Data Access Worldwide.
"Data Access Asia Pacific gives customers a direct relationship with the
company. The proven FlexTools team can deliver excellent, knowledgeable
service to Australasian customers from day one while developing new
growth opportunities in the region."

I will of course contact the supplier during their support hours, but I
figured that this sort of issue was the domain of this type of
newsgroup. I obviously got that wrong.

Well keep "strining" Stephen.

Best regards right back at ya.

Hello,

FlexODBC is not a Data Access product. You need to contact FlexQuarters
for support on FlexODBC.

Best regards,
