I WASPed for 20572 and I see that one of the guys with all the answers
in 2003 was me..... oh well...

We put a VDF11 app into production against our PSQL8.5/Conn kit
2.0.236 database.

We get a page error in VDFVM11 at 0167:100b1ace on Win98se

or a 20572 "Must be Version 8 or higher" on XP

on the production machines, though it runs okay on the (XP) dev
machines.

Any pointers? Are Pervasive recycling the 20572 message for teh later
versions?

Are both the PSQL Client and Server version 8? Is either running WTS or
Citrix?

Yes. Both are 8.sp1.

We have Citrix in the network, but not visible to these machines.

Seems there might be a mix of CK though, these machines might have
either 228 or 236. The vdf11 stuff was obviously compiled/tested with
3.00.4

We're reinstalling the psql client and retrying today.

I had a weird problem where the client couldn't get the version of the
server due to a register key "Restricted Access On WTS client", which made
the client set the version to a random number and thus give "Must by Version
8 or higher" error. But, that shouldn't be your problem then.

Good luck.

The 20572 part seems to have gone away, but certain VDF11 programs
give the VDFVM11 error on any Win98 box, but not on XP. I'll repost in
the vdf ng.
Cheers.....
