In Electos Studio FSCKeditor I can't get the button bar "insert/edit link"
to insert a link in the content.

After the "Link" dialog pops up, I select "Type of link" and provide the
required info. and click [Apply]. the dialog closed but nothing appears to
be inserted into the content. The Source View reveals that no link tag is
inserted.

If I use source view to manually insert a link than I can use the button bar
"insert/edit link" to edit the link.

Also, the link type "Website" offers "(.) Custom".
I don't seem to find anything on "link Custom" in the Electos Help.
What options are available when using "custom" ?

I can't seem to reproduce any problems with inserting links. Do you have
anything selected when trying to insert the link because it will create the
link around the selection and will create no link if nothing is selected.

The custom option can be used to define a frame to open the link URL in, of
course you have to make sure yourself that this frame exists somewhere (if
it doesn't exist I think it just opens a new window/tab but not sure on
this.)
This can be used for exmple to load an external page in a section of your
own page.

Doh!
Now I get it.
I have to type in the text for the link *first*, highlight the text and
click the link button. Now that I know, I can handle that....

Enhancement suggestion: If there isn't any highlighted text when the
operator clicks the link button, insert "your link goes here" or some such.

Thanks for the reply,
