When I loaded Electos 3 after installing VDF12 -- when installation was
complete web browser opened to an html "can't open" error for
http://localhost/electos (I think it was .. cleared it before paying more
attention to it. I also installed on my laptop and got the attached error
and Electos is not accessible on either machine. Electos had been installed
previously on both machines.

Hi Joe

Is it a similar problem I posted on july? Please check "Error HTTP 500.100
with Web Order Entry Example" posted on July 22 in the Visual-Dataflex
newsgroup.

Regards
Peter

Joe/Pedro,

I think this is related to system rights. Look at

Joe/Peter

I also experienced this problem. It has something to do with system
rights. I solved the problem by using the solution described at
http://www.dataaccess.com/kbasepublic/KBPrint.asp?ArticleID=2168

I finally got back to trying this out -- and found that indeed the "HKCR"
issue referenced in the responses I received here resolved the problem of
Electos not starting. Will watch closely for changes should they occur
again.

Joe
