Hi,

I need to have a link to a 25 Mb pdf file. Through "content" I am trying
to upload it to Electos. Once I select it and press "Add" I get a
Browser error with "Can't show this page".

With smaller PDFs I am not having problems.

Any idea of what it might be? Too big a file?

TIA

You cannot upload files larger than 10MB. That is the limit.

'This software is a FreeWare with limitted use.
'1. You can use this software to upload files with size up to 10MB for free
' if you want to upload bigger files, please register ScriptUtilities and
Huge-ASP upload
' See license info at http://www.motobit.com/help/scptutl/upload.asp
'2. I'll be glad if you include <A
Href="http://www.motobit.com/help/scptutl/upload.asp">Pure ASP file
upload</A>
' or similar text link to http://www.motobit.com on the web site using
Pure-ASP upload.

I think I have not explained myself properly.

My problem is within Electos, not when I am browsing the page in which
case I would be donwloading the file.

While running Electos, goto "content" and select a file (in this case a
25 Mb file). Press "add" and you get the browser error of "Can't show
this page".

Hope this clarifies the problem.

Thanks

Pepe,

David said it right, without paying for the ASP upload tool you cannot
upload files to the Electos content that exceed the 10Mb.

I think there is some error page that should be displayed relaying the
error, rather than the page you are seeing.

Well, actually we do check for the max filesize error and when it's to
larger we will present an error message explaining the problem. The problem
however is that on most machines for some reason the upload component does
not return the correct error code which will then result in an Asp error.
We'll need to look into this.

Pepe, this FAQ explains how to get rid of the size limit by installing a
full (non-free) alternative to pure-asp upload:
