Hey Guys,
I have an off-topic question. What newgroup reader do you use?
I've tried an older version of Forte Agent I have laying around, and am
currently using Thunderbird. But I can't find one that has all the
features I would like.
Thunderbird is horrible at searching, where Agent excels.
But Agent's UI is horrible I think.
Just curious what other people used.
(Mods, if this is too far off-topic please excuse me this one time, and
let me know.)
Thanks,
-David C. Moody

Hi,
I'm using Netscape 7.2 but seems there's a small difference between
Thunderbird and Netscape ...

Using the built in mailer with mozilla 1.7.2 here, should think it's
almost the same as thunderbird, but it serves me okay.

David:
I just converted to XanaNews, which is a free news reader.
I am really impressed and very pleased with with this program, and I
have used many others over the years. I deleted my registered copy of
Agent after using XanaNews for a half hour.

Xnews.
It's free, it's powerful, it's written by a turbo geek programmer.

I switched from Netscape to Thunderbird a few months ago. I like how it
imported my e-mail accounts and newsgroup subscriptions automatically.
Thunderbird is fine for what I need
I tried Agent and didn't like it.
For searching I use WASP http://80.164.146.190/wasp/login.asp
