I received this after uploading a new version of a FLX program via FTP.
Upon FLEXing the new version, I got this message the "Can't Read
Configuration file (STATUS 30)... Other FLX programs worked fine
including one that were FTPed at the same time as the failing program.

I finally traced the problem down to a BAD FTP transfer... I deleted the
newly upload FLX program and sent it again... and it works fine now.

This is an FYI. I am submitting this since I found no reference in the
news group to this status and I am a frequent user and an infrequent
contributor... I hope this solves someone problem at some point in the
future.

I have also seen this error prior to making the move to VDF. This error can
show up in 2.3b. It is kind of ominous that this error will come at at times
when there is a memory drain on a workstation running an app off a Novell
server.

Eric

yes CFG file refers to the FLX file. In early days these files where called
configuration files and this error has been with us ever since. I think it
finally was fixed in VDF 5 or 6 or something like that <g>
