The command GET_CURRENT_USER_COUNT always returns ZERO with Dfruncon.exe
running on WindowsXP and Windows98. I just ran extensive tests with
DF31C and with DF32. Both yield the exact same results.

I know from reading the millions of other messages here and in the
archive group about this *exact* problem that Data Access is aware that
this mechanism is broken, and ain't probably going to ever fix it.

The problem here is that *I* am not the only one who stands to lose money
due to this broken function, as in my testing I was also *QUITE ABLE* to
spin up a multitude of Dfruncon.exe on a multitude of separate computers.
As in *EXCEEDING* my licensed number of Dataflex users. I was able to
spin up well over 4 users on a *four* user Dataflex. The other weird
thing I'm seeing is that after the first user starts Dataflex, *ALL*
subsequent users recieve a graphical "Maximum Number Of Users Exceded"
error message, even though the DF license is a four user, and currently
only has *one* user connected.

I also tried using multiple copies of DF, both DF31C and DF32, as well as
testing with my development Termlist.cfg and .dfr file, and testing with
several other Termlist.cfg and .dfr files that are from my customers.
All produced the same symptoms.

So, has anybody got a sure fire way to count users with DF3X and
Dfruncon.exe? I need to be able to limit my customers to the number of
seats they've bought from me, whether DAC cares that you can spin up a
thousand users on a four user DF license or not.
