Hi All,

I've been running my own implementation of crystal RDC for some time.

I now have a problem deploying the latest merge modules for Crystal XI
release 2. The program works fine on my development machine with release 2
installed (full delvelopement installation), however, when I install the
merge modules on my test machine, I get a number of errors that the Active X
is not installed correctly etc.

I need release 2, as release 1 does not support 256 colours, and I have a
few installations running SBS 2000 with terminal services which only
supports 256 colours.

Has anyone else had experience with release 2 of Crystal XI? Can anyone shed
any light on why i get this installation problem?

Thanks, James.

Has no one in the VDF world installed Crystal XI?

I have no problems. Works for me. Uninstall and re-install?

DAW does not support this... but you can do it:

Use the merge modules and then use another installer to overwrite some of
the newer DLL's because only the version installed by the DAW ConnKit and
Patches on the CD work at this point.

There is another thread in this NG where I discribe the warning and headache
I have already gone through to save others the pain. search for Crystal XI
Warning.
