Greetings,
In Crystal, you can use the Label report wizard to create great labels.
You select the Avery Label number you want during the wizard and everything
is OK. The problem is this. I want to use my label report to print using a
different Avery Label now. I can't find a way to go in after the fact and
change the Avery Label Number. Is this possible?
Crystal XI, VDF CK

Thanks,

No tod, not possible. You can create a new avery label and write down all
the dimensions and then open your existing avery label and transfer all the
dimensions to it... or start over and just create a new label.

I usually create several avery labels for the one I am doing.
CustLabel_(label#here).rpt
CustLabel_(label#here).rpt
CustLabel_(label#here).rpt
CustLabel_(label#here).rpt

Then give the customer a combo box to choose the label size they want....
it's much more flexible.

David,
That't what I thought, but it never hurts to ask. I may check with you
later for more details on the solution you use.

Thanks

Tod,

There is a file called labels_en.txt. You can modify this file and it should
be read by Crystal. At least... it did this in the past. I have not tested
it with Crystal XI.

I think this is used by the wizard that generates the label reports. The
wizard is probably just for making it easier when you deign the report.

If you need to change anything in an existing report you need to
manually change the settings for the detail section. Go into format
sectiona nd the layout tab. From wthere you can change the width/height
and gaps between labels.

Magnus, Vincent,
Thanks for the tips. I will look at it when there is time here.
