View Full Version : Crystal 8.5 Exports and Citrix Metaframe

Hi all,

I've set up a VDF 9.0 Quoting System where remote users access the
system via Citrix Metaframe for XP. Currently the users are able to
print their quotes, but when I try to export them, only the more basic
options such as Word, Excel, Text, etc. work.

What I really want is to be able to email either PDF's or Rich Text
Quotes. The option for these format type shows in the drop down, but
nothing happens when I click on them. This of course works seemlessly
for all users here at the corporate office, when not going through
Citrix. I'm sure there's missing DLL's somewhere, but I have all the
in-house users and the remote users with the Crystal DLL's in the same
Netware 5.1 \\lsg\vol1\apps\vdf\bin directory. Any ideas?? (Crystal
8.5 was never installed on the Citrix Server or any local users'
machines.)

(Note: On the Citrix Server, a scaled down version of Crystal 10 was
installed with the installation of our Accounting Package Solomon 6.0)

Thanks,
Leslie

Leslie, make sure the DLL's u2frtf.dll & u2fpdf.dll are in place.

Jim,

Where should they be? I have them in the Netware 5.1
\\lsg\vol1\apps\vdf\bin directory. Also, when the Solomon Accounting
was originally set up, each user had to have a \Windows\Crystal
directory under their individual directory on the Citrix Server (i.e.,
\Documents and Settings\Leslie\Windows\Crystal) for Solomon reports to
print correctly.

In testing for my VDF problem, when this directory doesn't exist
for a given user, the export options dropdown doesn't work at all.
When I give the user this directory, the dropdown shows all export
options, but the pdf and rtf just don't work. I've made sure the
u2frtf.dll & u2fpdf.dll are also in this directory. I'm leary of
messing around too much since we're on Solomon 6.0 which uses Crystal
10.0. If I mess that install up, we won't be able to do Payroll, A/P,
etc. from our remote locations.
