View Full Version : No Clear not working

Just downloaded and installed the 1.1 library everything went smooth.

When I edit and save, the record clears. When I looked at the WBO, it says
pbClearAfterSave is set to FALSE. There is only ONE table in this sample (I
started simple).

Hello David,

The VdfForm on the client has the bAutoClearDeoState property (which can be
set in the HTML using vdfAutoClearDeoState) that controls this behavior.

(see: http://www.dataaccess.nl/ajaxhelp1-1/MyWebHelp/Default_CSH.htm#AJAX
Library Help/Reference/Client-side/VdfForm/bAutoClearDeoState.htm)

Are you saying that I have to add this to every object I create? I do not
like the default behavior being to clear after a save. I would like to
change it so the default behavior is to NOT clear.... I guess I'll dig thru
the packages and see if I can change that... Other than that.. is there a
CSS style I can add or something that would accomplish the same (kinda like
a subclass layer).

We indeed choose to make the default behavior to clear after a save. These
default settings are hard coded in the constructor of the VdfForm. The only
way to change without changing the package is by setting it after the object
is created or on the HTML element.

CSS has nothing to do with this. CSS can't be used to change HTML attributes
or JavaScript properties (except for the HTML elements style properties).

Just set it on the <form> element, you should not have huge amounts of
those. This mimics the VDF behaviour, where you can set Auto_Clear_DEO_State
on a dbView.
