I installed the 1.1 Library when it first came out but this is the first
time I've attempted to add it to a new workspace and project I'm creating.
I followed the directions in the Quick Start manual and all worked up to the
point where it directed me to use the Ajax Library Wizard to add the library
to the new workspace. When I opened File -> New -> Project, the Ajax Web
Project icon was there but the Ajax Library Wizard icon was not. I found it
and attempted to run it manually but get an error about a missing parameter,
so had to copy the files manually.

Is there any way to add the missing wizard to my Studio?

The next step after creating the project is to create the Ajax WBO Entry
Wizard. I followed the steps and got to the point where it says select
"AJAX WBO Entry Wizard". In File -> New -> Web Object I see "Ajax Web
Browser Object" but I do NOT see AJAX WBO Entry Wizard.

As above, the wizard is in the Ajax directory, is there any way to add it to
the Studio? It won't run because of a missing parameter. Or what should
the parameter be?

Hi Bob,

After installing AJAX Library 1.1 and creating a new workspace will only
show the 'AjaxLibraryWizard' and 'AjaxWBOEntryWizard' in the Wizard dialog.
Then the Library needs to manually be attached to your workspace by right
clicking in the 'Class Palette' and selecting 'Add remove libraries'. After
this is done the icon 'AJAX Web Project' is also added and available.

Then create the AJAX project and its enviroment by starting the Wizards in
this sequence: AJAX Library Wizard - AJAX Web Project - (data dictionary
must be available) AJAX WBO Entry Wizard.

The existance of your 'AJAX Web Project' icon could be from an previous AJAX
Library installation and will only be available after the manually library
attachment. The individual Wizards will not run standalone since they need
to communicatie with the environment they run in.

Hi Mervin.
I did all of those steps per the doc except the wizards are not available.
I was going to reinstall 1.1 but when I went to Add/Remove programs to
uninstall it I found that I couldn't tell the difference between my 12.0 and
12.1 versions. Frustrating to say the least.

Hi Bob,

Could it be that you are attaching the AJAX Library 1.1 to Visual DataFlex
12.0? The Wizards are build on VDF 12.1 therfore the VDF 12.0 version is not
supported by AJAX Library 1.1. You will be able to attach, but the Wizards
will not be connected to the VDF 12.0 environment.

I figured it out. I had installed the release candidate for VDF 12.1 and
then Ajax 1.1. I then later uninstalled the release candidate and installed
the full release. I saw some of the Ajax references and thought the rest
should be there but obviously not. I uninstalled and reinstalled Ajax, life
is again good.
