Mask-setting for numbers is not respected in display row of grids or
single forms.

I think it is important that large numbers be displayed with the
thousands separator. Customers will get a headache looking at six
digit numbers with no separator.

Masking decimal places is also important. In grids, you need the
numbers' right-hand sidse to align so that the data can be analyzed.
Also, we often limit customers to three decimal places even though
the database field can handle four, six, or eight: it would frustrate
them to see all the available decimal places and not be able to use
them.

I am aware of the concern regarding speed. I do not know how taxing
this would be.
