Hi Bob

I have tried to compile your fine Global to work in VDF 2008 14 but I get
two error code 98 (Invalid Function Call in Global.src) at line 238-239
(Set_Label and MSG_Request_Clear) in Function SelectWorkspace. It is not
critical, I can after these two error, work with Global but it would nice to
understand what I can do to take away these errors!

Have a nice day Bob!
Best regards Ake

Hi Ake, did you start with the VDF 12 version that's posted on vdf-guidance?
If not that's most likely your problem. I have made one change since that
I'll get into the subversion process tonight if I have time. And any others
that aren't already there.

Bob

Ok Ake, I've updated the subversion.

Hi Bob

Yes, I did start with the VDF 12 version that's posted on vdf-guidance!
What I then did was to move the files from your AppSrc to my Vdf 2008 14
AppSrc and your \AppSrc\GlobalFunctions to my \AppSrc\GlobalFunctions and
then compilef Global12.Src. Maybe not a good idea!? It works on my Vista but
when I start the program by a customer on Windows 2003 server and Pervasive
I get the error I described. (Sorry, I was wrong, the errors was not from
the compiler).
Maybe it should be better have a separated workspace for Global (your
Globa12 but changed Global.Sws to 14)!? Yes, it was what I have tested just
now (Vdf 14) and it´s shows me the same error.

Regards Ake

Hi Bob

Yes, I picked up your code from the Subversion, but the same error happens!

Regards
Ake

Hmmm.. I'm not seeing the error and I think you said that you don't see it
on your Vista box, only at the customer's site. In rereading your message,
you specify line numbers 238-239. Did you really mean those numbers? Those
are way way down in the low level Windows function calls in my prp files,
have you checked to see exactly what they are in your Windows.prp file?
Seems like that's where they would be. If so, maybe you don't have
permission to access those dlls? Just a guess...

Hi again

Thanks for coming back!
What I mean with the line numbers 238-239 in Global.Src, is the numbering in
the Studio 14.0 where I have Line numbering set.
I will try to investigate a little bit more and let you know what I can
find!

Regards
Ake
