Chuck,

In Readme.html, it is already defined that, "your existing 'MyWebsite' folder has been copied to the '..\Copy of existing Websites' folder. The '..\Websites\MyWebsite' directory has been overwritten with the new demo website. To restore the previous 'MyWebsite' website, overwrite the new 'MyWebsite' folder with the files stored in the '..\Copy of existing Websites' folder."
So if you want to add/ modify templates, add/edit data etc. then create a copy of MyWebsite by using option "Copy of Existing websites". So you will not face this issue for next upgrade of DataFlex Content Manager 4.6

As you said, you have deleted default "MyWebsite 18" version including all files , so it just deletes website from "DataFlex Content Manager" and also removes all folder physically.
Thus you do not have any folders under "..\Websites" folder, it just empty. That is why the box below the screen in empty.
This box at the bottom of "Add Websites" screen, shows all files/folders saved under "..\Websites\" folder.

When adding existing website, you have to mention version number of current website.
You can get this version information at
- for older Electos websites:
"..\Websites\ (Your selected Website) XXX\ Data \ electos_version.txt.

- for DataFlex Content Manager (4.5.30.180) websites:
"..\Websites\ (Your selected Website) XXX\ Data \ dataflexcm_version.txt.

You have manually given the path of "global.asa", it could not find that website at correct location and creates empty website.

The correct way to do this is,
1. Delete that empty website, including files.
2. Take backup of "..\Copy of Existing Website\MyWebsite" ( just for precaution)
3. Uninstall "DataFlex Content Manager 4.5.30.180" from "Add and Remove programs.
4. Uninstall "Electos 4.5.25.171".
5. Reboot the system.
6. Reinstall "Electos 4.5.25.171" So it will add default demo "MyWebsite".
7. From SiteManager (4.5.25.171), click on "Add Website" --> select option "Copy an existing Website" --> Select 'MyWebsite' and creates a copy of MyWebsite. (Lets assume "CopyMyWebsite").
8. From backup of "..\Copy of Existing Website\MyWebsite" , copy respective folders (AppHtml, Data) at "CopyMyWebsite" folder.
So you will have your changes at the "CopyMyWebsite".
9. Now Install DataFlex Content Manager 4.5.30.180
10. So it will overwrites only MyWebsite with new changes from 4.5.30.180
11. At the SiteManager of 4.5.30.180, he will see 2 sites,
- MyWebsite 4.5.30.180
- CopyMyWebsite 4.5.25.171

12. Now you just select the "CopyMyWebsite " and click on the upgrade. So you will get your changes with new version of DataFlex Content Manager.
