Hi All,

This is very odd .. I will try and explain it ..

I have several crystal reports that were initially used under 14.1 and the embedded database. I have since converted the database over to MS-SQL and VDF 17.0 I also changed the datasource location for the Crystal Reports to use OLE DB ( ADO ) and the Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server. When I attempt to run these reports a login dialog appears prompting for the password which I expect.

I have looked thru the forum and utilized some code to set the access / location properties for each table in the report, but I don’t think the code is getting executed. I have placed the code in the OnInitializeReport method but I still get the prompting occurring.

As a test I created a simple report utilizing OLE DB ( ADO ) and the Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server then used the integration wizard to include the report into the application. When I ran this report it ran with no prompting.

The reason I suspect that the OnInitializeReport method is not getting called in the original reports is that I placed a showln in the method but nothing appears. When I do the same for the test report it appears ????

The other test I did was to rename the report to call in the test program to one of the original ones and the prompt still occurs which I expected ... but the showln stub appears ??
